Users

As a public service, the Library is opened to the general public. Some of its services, however, are exclusively for tregistered users. The following can register as users:

• Students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff of FEUP;
• Guests, trainees or others visiting FEUP may register as temporary users through a written request from the host Service or Department addressed to the Director of the Library;
• People with some past connection with FEUP (former students and researchers, retired teaching and non-teaching staff) may register as external users, in accordance with the current rules and regulations;
• People covered by service provision contracts and cooperation agreements jointly signed by the Library and other public or private organisations, as well as professional Engineers, may register as external users, in accordance with the current rules and regulations.
