Eis que chega timidamente o verão e com ele a oportunidade para leituras relaxadas. Fecham-se os livros técnicos de Engenharia, rigorosos e objetivos, dando lugar à imaginação e à apreciação de obras literárias no tempo desacelerado dos dias longos.
Neste período estival, a sugestão de leituras para as férias será feita por João Carlos Aires, colaborador do Serviço de Documentação e Informação e alumnus FEUP.
Esta seleção centra-se em obras literárias e de banda desenhada de autores como Júlio Verne, Philip K. Dick, Alex Raymond ou Dave McKean, que imaginaram cenários e extrapolações além do real, na composição das narrativas ficcionais.

There is summer, timidly and with it the opportunity for relaxed readings. Engineering technical books are closed, rigorous and objective, giving place to the imagination and the appreciation of literary works in the decelerated time of the long days.
During this summer period, João Carlos Aires, collaborator of the Documentation and Information Service and alumnus students, will make the suggestion of readings for the holidays.
This selection focuses on literary and comic books by authors such as Jules Verne, Philip K. Dick, Alex Raymond, or Dave McKean, who imagined scenarios and extrapolations beyond the real, in the composition of fictional narratives.
