When a document is out on loan, the user may reserve it. As soon as the document is returned, the user who has reserved it will receive an e-mail indicating that it is available for collection for a period of 24 hours. Reservations are made by the authenticated user through the Library Catalogue.
How to make a reservation:
Go to the Library’s Catalogue and follow these steps:
1. Click on "user area" and identify yourself, using SIGARRA’s username and password;

2. Search the Library’s Catalogue to check if the document is out on loan. When you see the bibliographic information, click on the link: "all copies". If the return field is filled in with a date, then the document is out on loan.
3. Still on the page with the copy’s information, click on "reservation" to access the reservation form.

4. on the reservation window, click on the "send" button to send the request.
5. A new window will pop-up for you to confirm your request. Click again on the "send" button to confirm your request.

If the user isn’t able to reserve or renew the documents online - via the Catalogue – due to any communication problems or for reasons outside of their control, the user can request the Library by following these alternative steps:
